Nutrition & Lifestyle Coaching with a difference!

  • Are you continuously trying the latest craze or fad diet for it to feel too hard after a week or month in?

  • Have you been told to remove XYZ & then done nothing but crave XYZ until you end up giving in & binging?

  • When you feel tired, stressed or emotional, how do you cope? Does the food help numb those feelings?

  • Does nutrition control your life? Are you sick of trying new things that don't work for you & your family?

When it comes to “healthy” foods, why is it that something that should be so simple, has turned into something that has become so hard? Why has different diet choices become so much of a debate when in the end there is no one size fits all & all that matters is having a healthy relationship with food & ensuring we are nourishing our bodies & finding what works/feels right for you & your family?

When working with me, here is what you should know:

  • I believe that food is not as simple as just another macro group or a diet.

  • I believe that food tells a story, it tells a story of a person’s likes/dislikes, of culture, of special moments & memories.

  • There is no such thing as bad/good because I believe in context. I believe in creating health relationships with food, in nourishing our bodies but I also believe there are foods that we enjoy some of the time which signal celebrations & that are to be enjoyed guilt free.

  • More importantly I believe everything is part of a bigger picture & when you add context to the scenario different variables can alter slightly. There are lifestyle factors to consider & YOU are the expert of your body.

  • I also believe that sometimes the biggest wins can come from ensuring you are healthy in mind, spirit, able to manage stress & get consistently good quality sleep to be able to ensure we have the right tools & energy to focus then focus on your habits throughout the day.

 

I have studied some of the science behind food & the body, I also went on to complete a 1yr intensive mentorship with Precision Nutrition & move up to gain my Level 2.

I believe the biggest wins come when we don’t obsess about a meal plan, cutting out any food groups, eating separate meals from your family or a set specific diet type, or supporting a lifestyle which encourages a negative relationship with food. Instead I will work to support you in finding what feels right for you & your family, the foods you enjoy fit your daily routine, not the other way round.  We will work closely, I will keep you accountable, we will work through mindset & any limiting beliefs & use behaviour/lifestyle coaching to create sustainable changes. What is realistic for one person may be unrealistic for another as our individual lifestyles, eating patterns, work schedules and relationships with food and exercise are vastly different. This is the principles I believe in & the foundation to any success.
